Who We Are > Annual Meeting

The Sam Houston Electric Cooperative Annual Meeting of Members is held on the second Tuesday after the first Monday in November of each year. Attending the Annual Meeting is a great way to be actively involved in your Cooperative.
The Annual Meeting is your chance to meet the Board of Directors and Cooperative managers, and learn about Sam Houston EC's plans for the future, as well as member benefits and service programs. You'll also have a chance to enjoy snacks, the entertainment of long-time Co-op friend, Walter Plant, and take part in door prize giveaways.
Instead of voting for your Board of Directors in person at the meeting, the Sam Houston EC bylaws allow member-owners
to vote by ballot prior to the meeting. Look for your election ballot in the mail in October. Simply complete the ballot provided. Then, tear along
the perforation, and mail the ballot in the enclosed postage-paid envelope. Members who return their ballot by the Early Bird deadline will be eligible to win one of many great prizes in the Early Bird prize drawing. Detailed instructions are provided on the ballot.
The Annual Meeting of Members is held the second Tuesday in November at the Alabama-Coushatta Tribe's Multipurpose center. The meeting begins at 2:30 p.m., but come early and enjoy visiting with other members. There is plenty of parking close to the Multipurpose Facility, which is located at 571 State
Park Road 56, off Highway 190 between Livingston and Woodville. Shuttles from the
parking lot to the facility will be available. Hope to see you there!
