At the request of members, Sam Houston Electric Cooperative offers free Home Energy Audits, by appointment, through our Energy Usage Department.

Sam Houston Electric's Energy Audit Service is designed to give members a better understanding of how their energy dollars are spent and to pinpoint ways to reduce their energy usage and save money. In order to conduct an energy audit, a Sam Houston Electric Cooperative representative will personally visit your home to discuss your energy usage patterns and inspect your home for energy inefficiencies such as ineffective caulking, insulation and weather stripping. The representative will use the findings to develop a personalized list of recommended actions for maximum efficiency.
