a Member

At Sam Houston Electric Cooperative,
membership has its privileges. You’re more
than a customer, you’re a member-owner. Membership gives
you a voice in how your Cooperative is run. The Board of Directors
is elected by you. You have the opportunity to attend and
participate in the Annual Meeting of the Members. And capital
credit refunds make membership rewarding.

In order to become a member of Sam Houston
EC, you must complete an Application
for Membership and Electric Service. Pick up an application
at any of our three office
locations, download a copy
from our website or contact a Member Services Representative
to have one sent to you via fax or mail. Simply return your
completed application to any of our three offices in person,
by fax or by mail.
When the application is processed, you will
receive a unique customer number.” From that point forward,
each account you establish as a member will always be associated
with your unique customer number.
Please note that when establishing a membership
or account in the name of a commercial entity, the company
must be a corporation, or articles or incorporation must be
provided.
An Application for Membership is required
for all new Sam Houston EC members, or when membership has
been inactive for three consecutive months.
