Groundbreaking for the R.C. Thomas Hydroelectric Project took place Wednesday, May 27, 2015, on the Trinity River Authority grounds at Lake Livingston Dam. U.S. Congressman Brian Babin was the keynote speaker for the event showcasing the future site of East Texas Electric Cooperatives’ 24-megawatt hydroelectric power generating facility.
Officials from Trinity River Authority, City of Houston, local elected officials, directors, and representatives from area electric cooperatives will be in attendance.
