On May 19, 2026, severe weather disrupted service to more than 6,500 Sam Houston Electric Cooperative consumer-members. Co-op crews restored service to 6,000 members overnight and continue to work to return service to all members.
601 consumer-members near Corrigan and Moscow remain without service due to Entergy transmission and distribution lines that fell onto the Cooperative’s power lines and became entangled. Cooperative staff members are coordinating with Entergy, and Co-op crews are patrolling this section of line to proactively complete any additional repairs that may be needed.
Due to the complex nature of this situation, the current estimated time of restoration for these members is 3 p.m. Additional updates will be provided if needed.
