To improve service to Sam Houston Electric Cooperative consumer-members, a system improvement project is scheduled for October 29 to 30 east of Willis,Texas.
The map shows the impacted areas, which include the Royal Forest subdivision. Impacted members will receive a call or message with the exact times and dates their service will be affected. Please make sure that your number is updated with Sam Houston EC. Members who have opted into text message notifications through mySamHouston will also receive text message alerts.
To ensure the safety of employees, power will be off while crews perform their work, approximately 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. If anyone at your location has special needs that require constant electricity, please plan accordingly. If you have any questions, please call us at (800) 458-0381.
Please remember to move over or slow down when you are passing utility trucks. This allows our linemen and contractors to work as safely as possible.
Don't forget that you should never connect a generator directly to your home’s wiring unless your home has been wired for generator use. This can cause electricity from the generator to electrify nearby power lines and electrocute anyone coming in contact with them, including lineworkers. Have a licensed electrician install the equipment necessary to safely connect emergency generators to your home.
