The employees of Sam Houston Electric Cooperative have been showing their support for the fight against breast cancer this October—national breast cancer awareness month.
The ladies of Sam Houston EC made a statement in their “I <3 Pink” T-shirts all month long. The T-shirts were so popular; in fact, the Cooperative opened up sales to the public and raised money for the Co-op’s Relay for Life team.
October 15, a group of Sam Houston EC employees joined other members of the community at the annual Power of Pink luncheon [photo]. The luncheon was hosted by Memorial Hospital of Livingston at the Polk County Commerce Center.
It wasn’t just the ladies of Sam Houston EC “thinking pink” this October. Each Co-op service vehicle proudly displayed a pink ribbon magnet in support of the cause.
This is our commitment to a cure.
