Sam Houston Electric Cooperative employees have been behind a few grand gestures of Christmas giving this season.
The annual empty stocking program gave Co-op employees an avenue to collect more than $600 this year for a local family. The mother, who is disabled, has two boys ages 14 and 8.
The next project came from member service representative Lia Witt’s 9-year-old son Noah. After hearing about the community’s need for coats this winter, Noah decided to start his own coat drive and asked for a little help from his mom’s coworkers.
Noah collected more than 45 coats to be donated throughout the community. What a wonderful gift this holiday season!
