Coldspring Employees Aid Habitat House

Sam Houston Electric Cooperative line technicians Mike Fassler and Terry Lowe recently helped raise the roof on the sixth Habitat for Humanity home built in San Jacinto County. Along with eight other Habitat volunteers, Fassler and Lowe raised 42 trusses for the Habitat house.

“On behalf of the Board of Directors of Habitat for Humanity San Jacinto Inc., we wish to express our gratitude and appreciation for your partnership,” Charles Strouse, Habitat for Humanity San Jacinto County executive director, said. “Sam Houston Electric Cooperative’s commitment to our mission is what helps us build affordable housing for those in need.”

According to Habitat for Humanity International, the organization was founded on the conviction that every man, woman and child should have a decent, safe and affordable place to live.
