From Woodville to Coldspring, Sam Houston Electric Cooperative employees have recently helped many different communities in our service area.
On Friday, Oct. 3, inspector Mike Beumel, member service representative Gina Carpenter, chief communications officer Keith Stapleton and communications specialist Rachel Frey attended “Go Texan Day” at the Tyler County Fair. The group presented safety demonstrations and energy efficiency tips to attendees.
Line technicians Felder Dubois and Ben Griffin helped at Livingston High School’s annual Egg Drop on Oct. 8. The physics classes tested their designs to protect their eggs from a drop from an extended bucket truck boom.
At the same time, line technicians Billy Snook and Matt Nettles shared their bucket truck and tools with the kindergarten classes of Pine Ridge Elementary in Livingston.
Stapleton and Frey also shared electricity safety tips and energy efficiency information at the Alabama-Coushatta Safety Block Party on Friday, Oct. 10.
Later this month, Cooperative employees will also attend the Power of Pink Luncheon in Livingston, St. Luke’s Employee Health Fair, Shepherd Neighborhood Night Out and Coldspring High School’s College and Career Night.
