May 6 Update:

May 4, 1 p.m. Update:
Sam Houston EC crews and contractors continue restoring service around the system and responding to new outages. Many outages cannot be restored at this time due to flooding or high water. Cooperative employees and contractors will restore power when waters recede, and it is safe to restore service.

Sam Houston EC understands many people have been severely impacted by the flooding. May 3, 8:30 p.m. Update:
This evening, Co-op employees are thankful for a break in the storms. Sam Houston EC crews and contractors continue to restore service to areas they can access safely. Power has been restored to 21,000 members over the past two days, and fewer than 500 meters remain without service.

May 3, 11 a.m. Update:
Additional storms overnight and this morning keep damaging our area, but Sam Houston employees and contractors continue working to restore service to our consumer-members where they can do so safely. Crews have restored power to more than 15,000 locations and 2,000 services remain without service.

The ongoing rain and flooding are creating challenges for crews, but they are receiving support from our system operators, engineers, substation technicians, metering staff, inspectors, right-of-way crews and many more Co-op employees and contractors.

Sam Houston EC crews and contractors continue to restore service safely to consumer-members. Crews have restored service to more than 14,000 locations, and 1,335 services remain without service.

Sam Houston EC line crews have been joined by additional crews to restore power. Crews and contractors have restored service to more than 9,000 locations and 4,800 locations are still without service. https://outage.samhouston.net/maps/OutageWebMap/.
