As of 2:45 p.m., the problem on the Entergy's transmission line that went out of service last night has been located. Crews are on site, and working to make repairs to the equipment. Once repairs have been made, Sam Houston EC crews will begin to re-energize affected areas. We will keep posting updates when more progress has been made.
Floodwaters are receding, so crews have been able to access more areas of Sam Houston EC’s system today to safely restore service. Electricity has been restored to Kountze and Honey Island. Crews with boats have been able to access Sour Lake and areas along the Trinity River and are working to restore electricity.
