Issues with the Entergy transmission line were repaired late yesterday and we were able to restore power to the north Polk County area. The electricity transmission & distribution system must be brought back up in sections following a large outage, so that it may stabilize before bringing the next section on line. This is normal, but it does take some time.
This morning, other areas are being added, including sections of Tyler and Hardin Counties. We are asking for your assistance in conserving electricity as the system comes back up over the next hours. This will help make the restoration process more efficient and effective.
The areas we are asking to conserve are northern Polk County, all of Tyler County, and Hardin County north of Silsbee.
Hurricane Harvey caused major damage to our system over the last week, and we sincerely appreciate your patience as we have worked nonstop to restore power. We expect to make great progress today, and we sincerely appreciate your help in conserving electricity in these areas.
