Representatives from Reading Encourages Advanced Development (R.E.A.D.) received a $1,500 grant from Sam Houston Electric Cooperative Charitable Foundation’s Operation Round Up® program on Thurs., Feb. 1, 2018, at the Livingston Rotary Club’s meeting. R.E.A.D. distributes books free of charge to Polk County children ages 5 and younger. Sam Houston EC Charitable Foundation’s Operation Round Up program is supported by Co-op members who round up their bill each month to the next dollar and donate the change to the foundation.
