Sam Houston Electric Cooperative’s Relay For Life team will be wrapping up another Relay season before the big event with one final fundraiser. April 11, the Sam Houston EC Relay for Life team will have a garage sale at the Cooperative's Livingston headquarters building. Come by between 7 a.m. and noon to purchase some great items and help out a worthy cause.
Scheduled for April 24, the event will be held at Pedigo Park in Livingston and will begin at 6 p.m. Stop by the Cooperative's booth for sausage on a stick, drinks and a chance to spin the wheel for a prize. The team will also be selling raffle tickets for even bigger prizes!
Last year, Sam Houston EC alone raised nearly $6,000.
According to the American Cancer Society, each year, more than 4 million people in over 20 countries raise much-needed funds and awareness to save lives from cancer through the Relay For Life movement.
