With very heavy hearts, we share with you that Yancy Williams, beloved coworker and friend, passed away yesterday. Yancy loved his family, his community, and his friends. He served our country, enlisting in the United States Marine Corps in 1983 and the Army Reserve in 1993. He was deployed to Bosnia, Panama, Operation Desert Storm, Desert Shield, and Operation Iraqi Freedom. Yancy was also an outstanding line technician and was one of the most recognized faces of Sam Houston Electric Cooperative for 30 years.
As Yancy’s Co-op family, we hold him and his family in our hearts, and we lift them up with our prayers. He will be missed.
