Sam Houston EC Offering $3,000 Reward for Copper Theft Information



Approximately 2,000 Sam Houston Electric Cooperative members experienced an outage April 3, 2013, due to an incident of copper theft. The perpetrators vandalized the Cooperative's Hightower substation, which serves parts of Liberty County.

Sam Houston EC asks that anyone who has any information regarding this copper theft incident please contact the Liberty County Sheriff’s Department. The Cooperative is offering a reward of $3,000 for information leading to the arrest and indictment of those who committed this crime.
