Sam Houston EC Supports Members in Need

Sam Houston Electric Cooperative continues to monitor the COVID-19/coronavirus guidelines from the US Centers for Disease Control and has implemented proactive measures to assist Co-op members affected by COVID-19.

We urge our members to call us at 800-458-0381 if you are in need of assistance with your account. We are here, and we are happy to help.

Sam Houston EC suspended disconnections for nonpayment on March 16, and late fees will be waived for members impacted by COVID-19. We encourage members to pay a portion of their bill, if possible, to avoid a large account balance in the future.

In the meantime, we encourage all members to monitor their energy use. If your family is at home more these days, and watching TV or using the computer, your next electric bill might be higher than normal. Keep track of your energy use with the mySamHouston app or login to your account at SamHouston.net. Members can also find more ways to save on our website and blog.

The Cooperative remains fully-staffed, and is continuing normal operations, apart from the front lobbies and drive-thrus being closed temporarily. Even as many employees are working remotely or reporting directly to their work vehicles, we are striving to maintain our high quality of service to every member.

Call us at 800-458-0381 if you are in need of assistance with your account. We are here, and we are happy to help.

Please continue to follow guidance from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control for safe practices to combat this virus.
