Sam Houston Electric Cooperative employees came together this holiday season to share gifts with local families.
Not only were the toys used to decorate Cooperative offices, and bring cheer to employees and Co-op visitors in December, but they were also donated to local children.
Employees also raised money to sponsor a family through the Empty Stocking program. Founded in 1998 the Empty Stocking program is sponsored by the Livingston Interagency Council—a network of social-service agencies that provide various forms of assistance throughout Polk County. Co-op employees then brought joy to children of all ages at Livingston’s Hometown Christmas Lighted Parade after decorating a bucket truck.
A big thank you to all the employees who worked hard to put the float together as well as those who took part in the parade.
