As outside temperatures climb and electricity use increases, utility bill assistance is available for qualifying Sam Houston Electric Cooperative members.
The state’s Comprehensive Energy Assistance Program (CEAP) can provide up to $1,200 for help with utility bills. Please be aware that before assistance may be provided, individuals must meet specific eligibility requirements, and assistance may only be available pending funding.

Additional funds are available through the same local CEAP administrators from Sam Houston EC’s Helping Hands program.
The Cooperative’s directors, employees and members contribute to the Helping Hands program each month to provide bill assistance to fellow members in need.
